SPARK is a service for sharing electric cars in Sofia and Plovdiv. It allows you to have a car when and where you need it—for a few minutes, hours, or days.
Unlike a personal car, you don't have to own and maintain it, nor visit an office or a specific location to pick it up.
The service is used entirely through an intuitive mobile SPARK App, available on Google Play and the App Store. You can find and use the electric car of your choice. After the end of the ride just lock it and end the session, again through the application.
SPARK's fleet consists exclusively of electric cars. Unlike conventional vehicles, they are virtually silent and offer a more dynamic driving experience. In the glove compartment of every electric car, you'll find its documentation, insurance policy, a two-sided traffic accident report, and the key.
Before using a SPARK electric car, you can check the battery charge level and estimated range in the mobile app. The same information is also available on the car's dashboard once you unlock it.
The range depends not only on the battery level but also on weather conditions and driving style – both your own and the previous driver's.
If needed, SPARK customers can recharge their electric cars at no cost at any station in our Eldrive partner network (viewable in the app).
Electric cars can be charged at any other station, subject to their specific terms and conditions, as well as using a standard household socket with a special Shuko cable.
Electric cars are virtually silent - remember that pedestrians may not hear you.
Electric cars are significantly more dynamic and accelerate faster than comparable internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles. Please be mindful of this when driving for the first time, especially if you've chosen the BMW i3.
Electric cars have automatic transmissions. To start them, you have to simultaneously press the brake and turn the key (or press the START button). Some models, like the Dacia Spring, require you to put the vehicle in neutral (N).
Electric vehicles have different ranges, depending on the model and the personal driving style. With a fully charged battery and in ideal conditions, Spark vehicles could have the following range:
Please note that if the remaining range is less than 10 km by the time you end your ride, you must connect it to an Eldrive charging station before ending your session.
To register an account, you must install the SPARK - your electric drive mobile application. It is available on Google Play Store for Android and the App Store for iOS. You need to have a valid driver's license (cat. B) with a minimum of 1 year of driving experience, issued in one of the following countries:
To complete the registration, you must enter a credit or debit bank card with the required balance.
A fee of 10 € is due upon registration.
Upon payment, the user receives a gift coupon (registration coupon) in their account with a validity period of 60 days.
Between Feb 23, 2026, and Sept 9, 2026, users who add a Visa card to their SPARK account and pay the registration fee will receive a €13 registration voucher.
If you enter a referral code from a friend's SPARK account on the first registration screen, both of you will receive a €5 travel voucher.
